I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and grew up in the Maritimes, spending most of my youth in Truro, NS. In 1983, I graduated from Cobequid Educational Centre and went to Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB the following year. But the siren call of the big city was too enticing and I soon transferred to York University and studied film. After graduation, I found a position on campus and have been at York since.

York University has been good to me. Over the past 21 years I have held seven different positions. During this time I also completed my MBA part-time, helped manage a large international literacy conference, and, most importantly, met and married my wife. I’m currently working for the Faculty of Health , managing a large student and academic service operation.

Away from York I am a diligent dog walker, family archivist, high tech gadget purveyor, and an enthusiastically inept golfer. I am a resident of the fastest growing community in Canada, Milton, ON.
